(Energy Performance Certificates *EPC’s)

From 1st April 2018 all newly let properties must have an up to date EPC of an E rating or above.

From 1st April 2019 landlords with an EPC rating below E must carry out up to £3,500 (inc. VAT) worth of works improving their energy efficiency if they cannot obtain third-party funding to meet the costs.

From 1st April 2020 these rules apply to all existing tenancies as well as new ones.
